Initial Assembly
The Assembly cut is the first of many edits in filmmaking. It strings together all usable footage to create a chronological sequence that corresponds with your script, and it is often done when you are still filming. This process can be followed by rough cuts, where notes from directors are added on top while trimming down further if needed.
If a director sees something in need of re-shooting or pick-up work, they know right away that more time doesn’t have to be wasted shooting new material only for things not being clear enough at this point in production.
A lot of time is spent editing or cutting together footage when it comes to post-production. The Assembly cut takes all the footage and edits it together so that you can watch your film as if it was done and complete.
When it comes to creating the first Assembly cut, King Graphics can deliver an excellent solution. Our team of editors can craft and do perfect Assembly cuts to make sure your video content matches the storyboard and script, making it speak to your audience.
